Brissago: Get lost in Brissago! Travel in time! Stroll and discover old small streets and buildings.

Updated: Sep 16, 2020

Travel in Time! Relax! Take time for yourself!

Brissago is quite a large municipality, is being spread on hills raising from water that contains three main valleys. There are plenty small pedestrian streets made of granite stone. Many, many to choose from. And a lot of stairs. Just get lost in the labyrinth. They are full of stories and history.

You can enjoy great views and amazing historical heritage of the Brissago’s village sections:

· Piodina

· Incella

· Porta

In the summer there are guided tours: https://www.ticino.ch

We personally like a lot the view from Bellavista – on the west side of Albergo-Ristorante Bella Vista - Via Costa di Mezzo 77, 6614 Brissago.

You can also enjoy a great lunch/dinner/coffee at one of the tables with fantastic view. (reservation is needed if you want to eat www.bellavista-brissago.ch Phone: 091 793 12 22).

Pass by the small church above Bellavista and go for 250m and then go on small streets in Incella (the old original Brissago center).

A longer beautiful path is:

Rough Map:

Walk up to the Church on Sacro Monte e Santuario di S. Maria Addolorata (Via Sacro Monte, Brissago 6614) and go also in the garden (inclusive the minigolf) at Parkhotel Brenscino Brissago (Via Sacro Monte 21, 6614 Brissago) with great view over the lake.
