Visit Stresa(IT) and the Borromean Islands: Isola Madre, Isola dei Pescatori, Isola Bella

We suggest take one full day trip to Stresa (IT).

Drive from Brissago to Italy, Verbana, then to Stresa. The drive is about 44 km and will take you about 1 hr.

The whole drive is near the Maggiore lake and has fantastic views.

In Stresa go to the city center and park.

Visit the promenade with fantastic hotels and their gardens.

Then cross with the boat to the three islands. Each is nice is his own way.

Isla Madre is the largest of the three islands has a nice palace and a great garden.

Also you can make a stop at Isola Bella, with its enchanting gardens.

Do not forget to disembarked at Isola dei Pescatori aw well for strolls one nice streets and the promenade. Sip a good drink or eat of their good restaurants.
