Driving: approx 1 hr drive (if you go to the end of Valle Verzasca, at Sognono you have to count for one hour of direct drive and about 43 km)

Stop 1: Verzasca Dam
At the entrance to the Verzasca Valley make a stop at the Verzasca dam that is situated on the lake "Lago di Vogorno". You can park at the visitor center and walk on the dam. It is very impressive to see what people could build with concrete.
Note: One of the James Bond series was filmed here. In case you want some adrenaline, here you can jump the over 200m bungee.

Stop 2: Lavertezzo brige Ponte dei Salti - "Roman bridge"
The place is known as "Ponte dei Salti" (Jumping bridge - a Roman bridge)

Stop in at the bridge and take a bath in the natural whirlpools after crossing the two-arch bridge .
One can cross the bridge and lie on the smooth stones, watching people jumping off the bridge.
Stop 3: Corippo village
A very authentic village, Corippo is worth seeing.
One of the most beautiful villages in the Verzasca Valley is Corippo, which is located on the left side of the main road when you drive upwards. It is well signposted. You can walk a little along the streets of this village.

Tip: In the summer of 2022, SRF published a report called «Albergo Diffuso» in Corippo about the village of Corripo and its new way of accommodating people in several old houses

Stop 4: Sognono village
At the end of the Verzasca valley you can stop in the village of Sognono, a beautiful village that hosts many events in the summer and in the fall, plus has fantastic hikes for all kind of travellers (easy paved pathways or hiking trails)

On the way to La Froda Waterfalls:
Stop 5: La Froda waterfalls in Sognono
Park your car at the entrance in the Sognono village public parking and pay for 2-3 hours. The rest of the tour will be done on foot.
It is only a ~15 minute walk (1,2 km) walking west to the church and walk further to the riverbank. Cross the bridge on the left and go up to the waterfalls "La Froda".
Tip Eating in authenticTicino Grotto: On the way to La Froda eat at Grotto Efra (https://sonogno.ch/listings/grotto-efra/) - check in advance of they are open. There is a very good local food and a quiet atmosphere.
